Our LEADERSHIP
Manal Habib
Manal Habib is the CEO and founder of MightyFly. A graduate from both MIT and Stanford, Habib has developed a strong technical background in aerospace engineering. She previously specialized in flight controls and developed the first robust commercial flight controller. Manal is also a private pilot and in the process of building her own airplane. Her passion for aerospace, vision for a better world, and determination make her a motivated and unstoppable entrepreneur and leader.
Petr Ptacek
Petr Ptacek is the head of software engineering at MightyFly. A native of the Czech Republic, Petr earned a Master of Science in Physics from Masaryk University Brno and brings to MightyFly more than 20 years of experience in aviation, industrial automation, and software development. He has held numerous senior/management roles at Wisk, Kitty Hawk, and Rockwell Aviation working on products related to avionics, power control, CNC manufacturing, and AI.
Fernanda Sausen
Fernanda Sausen is the Senior Director of Business Development at MightyFly. She holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations and brings to MightyFly 15 years of experience in sales, partnerships and operations in the robotics, automotive and hospitality sectors. She previously led business development, operations and engineering teams at customer project deployments, such as Disneyland Paris, Rio 2016 Olympic Games, Brazil 2014 FIFA World Cup, and Europa Park.
Ian Fernandez
Ian Fernandez is the head of hardware at MightyFly. Innovative holistic design is a passion of his. A graduate of UC Davis and Stanford, Ian has 24 years of experience in the aerospace sector, specializing in lightweight composite structures. His career started at NASA and for the last 10 years has been in the eVTOL space designing a total of 5 unique aircraft as well as leading engineering teams at Joby Aviation and what is now Wisk. Ian holds 5 patents.
